Accountability should go both ways.
Why “Flock the Flockers”?
It's a protest against Flock Safety and one-way surveillance. Public accountability should not belong only to institutions. People deserve a say in how surveillance is used—and tools to scrutinize public power.

For everyday people
You shouldn't need an institutional budget or special access to care about police accountability. CopDar's aim is to put useful tools in ordinary people's hands.
Privacy for everyone
The focus is visible, official police activity. Plate searches, personal tracking, and exposing officers' families are outside the project's purpose. Bystanders and officers both deserve privacy.
Community control
The goal is open-source tools, community input, and local processing wherever possible. Accountability tools should be accountable to the people using them.
